"River" is the newest addition to the Wavin' K family.
She is an adorable 4.5 mo old pitbull mix who has had a rough start, she has a broken front leg. Her leg was estimated to have been broken at 5 weeks old, can you imagine!? It is broken in 3 places, and has healed wrong, so her leg will probably have to be amputated, which will be a welcome change for her, as she just packs around the dead weight now. River may just live out the rest of her days at Wavin' K, unless someone special comes along.
Wavin' K Dogs
Here are the residents of Wavin' K. They are beloved pets and working animals.
"Wilsons Stella" is a double registered Catahoula Bulldog. She comes from the well known Wilson's Sandhills Kennels in Florida, breeders of the original Catahoula Bulldog, Catahoulas, and Old Sothern White American Bulldogs.
Stella is a natural hunter, she always has her nose to the ground. When it comes to cattle, watch out! She is fearless. Stella is scheduled to be bred to a proven Olde English Bulldogge in April, if you are interested in getting a good place in the pick line for one of these amazing dogs, email or call Kacy.
"Gus" is a stunning black (with a hint of reverse brindle) Staghound Stud. He is 2 years old and at his top potential. We hunt coyotes and jackrabbits with him, and he is very impressive in the field. Videos coming soon!
Shelby is a wonderful American Pit Bull Terrier, rescued from the K-9 Bed and Biscuit in Greely, Colorado. This shelter is one of the largest no-kill shelters in Colorado, they are great people. Shelby is the sweetest and most loyal dog you will meet, she is a big teddy bear to everyone she comes across. But, when it comes down to "helping" at the barn, Shelby is ready for action any time you are, and can get any stubborn cow moving!
