Well the college rodeo season is finally drawing to a close. Old reliable, Clancy, brought me through to a Reserve Championship in the Breakaway Roping for the Central Rocky Mountain Region, and we are CNFR bound! This is very exciting for me, I am looking forward to this amazing experience!
Now that summer is at a head, I have a lot of work coming in. This spring, I have had some colts here in Laramie, and they have been progressing very well. I am getting a whole new bunch as soon as I get back to Wheatland, and the busy summer begins. I am looking forward to rodeoin' a lot this summer and seasoning a couple of my own younger rope and barrel horses. Also, the new addition, Bubba, has proved himself this spring at the college rodeos heading, and I am looking forward to riding him this summer. My "project" for this summer, a gelding named Otter, should be fun as well. I am starting him on barrels and he is already showing a ton of potential.
Well that's all for now, I hope the summer is shaping up to be a wonderful one for all of you! See 'ya down the road...
Hi all. Well this semester of school is over. Finally. Now only three to go (lord willing). Now it's crunch time at the Barn. I have a lot of colts coming in this month, plus I've got to get a leg up on some of my own. I'm looking forward to getting away from school for a while and getting to ride a lot this winter in the nice Barn. We have a lot of things scheduled in the arena too - barrel races, team ropings, practice cuttings, etc. Be sure to check out www.tophattequine.com Event Calendar to see the schedule! Also, I have put a couple of my good horses up for sale, sadly. I have up and coming prospects and expenses to take care of (like buying hay ugh) so I am letting them go. Smoke and Ace will be greatly missed, but when they are sold I know they will greatly BENEFIT their new owners. Well, that's all I have for now. I hope all of you have a very Merry Christmas. And remember, Jesus is the reason for the season. Take care and God Bless.
Hi all, and welcome to the new Wavin' K website. I hope you all enjoy it and come to visit us in Wheatland.
Wavin' K Horse Training is slowing down now that I am back at school at the University of Wyoming this semester. During our winter break, however, Wavin' K will be jam packed! I'm taking as many colts over that month as I can, so over Christmas, if you have one that needs ridden, give me a call.
Well that's about it for my first blog. If you have any questions or comments about Wavin' K, shoot me an email at rodeo_kh@hotmail.com. Thanks for looking everyone, good night and God bless.
